Chief Executive Officer appointed for National Catholic Education Commission

Bishop Gerard Holohan, Chairman of the Bishops Commission for Catholic Education, announced today the appointment of Dr William Robert Griffiths to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the National Catholic Education Commission.

Dr Griffiths is a well known and experienced Catholic educator having served as a Deputy Principal and Principal of secondary schools, and for 15 years as Director of Catholic Education in the Northern Territory.

The Bishop welcomed him to this important national leadership position in Catholic Education and wished him every possible blessing in the years ahead.

He also thanked Mrs Joan Warhurst, the previous Chief Executive Officer for her highly valued, dedicated and consistent commitment in her years of service.
