Catholic Vocations Ministry Australia is a joint committee of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and the Australian Conference of Leaders of Religious Institutes (ACLRI). Within an environment which affirms the Christian vocation of every baptised person, Catholic Vocations Ministry Australia exists to support and resource those particularly committed to the fostering and discernment of vocations to ordained ministry, consecrated life, and societies of apostolic life.
Catholic Vocations Ministry Australia (C.V.M.A) exists to: - Educate people about the nature and understanding of vocation; - Promote at a national level, the development of vocation ministry; - Actively promote vocations to the ordained ministry and religious life; - Foster a sense of unity and collaboration amongst state, diocesan and congregational vocations ministers; - Support vocations ministry networks through the sharing of resources: material, skills and achievements; - Foster and present a coordinated approach to vocations ministry throughout Australia, to ensure that personnel and resources are most effectively utilised on behalf of the Church.
